Scar Tissue Release
About Scar Tissue Release
Scar symptoms can be reduced.
Most of us have a scar somewhere on our body, be it internal or external.
Scars are created by collagen layering itself unevenly in the healing process.
Scars can have a huge influence on or lives, they can cause numbness, tingling, pain, itching, burning, hyper-sensitivity, loss of confidence, restriction and tightness, reduction in blood and lymph flow, loss of muscular strength, reduced energy and inhibited joint movement.
Scars can have physical, emotional, and psychological effects on an individual. For example, caesarean section or C-section scars can result in long-term psychological and emotional reactions such as anger, fear, anxiety, shock, guilt, failure, trauma, low self-esteem and sense of worthlessness, as well as feelings of ‘disconnection’ – the lower body to the upper.
When the physical attributes of the scar change through treatment, the emotional and psychological effects can also improve. Post-operative physical effects of C-section scars may include dyspareunia (painful intercourse), back pain, abdominal pain, a feeling of “disconnection’ between the lower and upper body, restriction and pain upon flexion and extension of the spine. These physical effects can improve or even be eliminated due to successful treatment of scar tissue.
I studied MSTR® McLoughlin Scar Tissue Treatment ® a technique to release scar tissue in 2018 as part of my professional development, I love it for the fact that it is life changing and has permanent results. This evidence-based treatment is a light fingertip treatment applied directly to the scar area. No force is involved, the work is applied within your tolerance. Scar tissue treatment involves breaking up scar tissue and adhesions and can be life changing for those who have undergone surgery or experienced other forms of trauma that result in scarring. You’re welcome to bring a support person. The earliest I can treat scarring is 8 weeks after the scar has formed or after surgery. I look forward to helping you discover the benefits of MSTR®
